Dug ourselves into a hole

Well - not much progress on the house build, but there is a big hole that sort of resembles the shape of our basement.

On a brighter note, we ventured over to the Renaissance Festival.  Words just can't describe...  Pictures will have to do.

 So proud of my strong husband.

 Finally, we went to see One Day, which looked like a cute movie when watching the trailers, but if you insist on seeing it, make sure to bring a box of tissues.  Khoa would like you all to know that we ate this bucket of popcorn together (actually - he says that I ate the whole thing, but that's just not true).

Breaking Ground

The long wait is over - they have finally broken ground on our first home!!  Not much to see at this time but the dirt has been turned and the stakes are up.  The plan is for 4 bedrooms, 2 full baths and 2 half baths, an open kitchen, morning room and family room, living room, dining room, study, finished basement and 3 car garage.  We are so excited to finally have a place of our own (and a kitchen large enough to house all of my stuff).  Here's a link to what the house should look like in the end (no stone on the front though - all brick)
